What is the recovery period after mini tummy tuck surgery?

Following a mini tummy tuck, I advised my patients to take one week off from work and to limit physical activities. Within two weeks patients can get in a swimming pool and can resume aerobic workout in two to three weeks. Heavy lifting and abdominal exercises are limited until four weeks. The sutures are dissolvable and drains are removed in 3-5 days in most cases. Liposuction is usually performed of the abdomen and may cause some minor bruising.
