How often will more cosmetic surgery be necessary to give me the result I want?
The answer to this question lies in your expectations of the results of the surgery, your surgeons evaluation and the procedure you have had performed. Patients have different expectations of the results that can be obtained with cosmetic surgery. With a candid discussion with your plastic and cosmetic surgeon, it must be determined if your goals can realistically be met. Different procedures produce different results. A well performed facelift may last up to seven years. You will continue to age but if you have a twin sister, you should look better for a longer period than her. If you choose to maintain your result, further surgery may be indicated. Breast augmentation patients may require further surgery to maintain a specific result due to the effects of aging, child birth and weight fluctuation on the breasts.
