How will breast augmentation surgery affect my yearly mammogram?

It is my policy to obtain a baseline mammogram on all women 35 and older and those with a strong family history of breast cancer. When having a mammogram, breast augmentation patients should tell their radiologists so additional views can be taken to better examine the breasts. Mammograms should be performed at the same intervals and age as recommended by their family physicians.
