New Advances in Breast Augmentation Surgery.

Probably the most significant changes in breast augmentation surgery are the surgical technique changes to reduce capsular contracture and the development of a more cohesive silicone gel to decrease or eliminate gel migration with rupture. Electrocautery dissection almost eliminates bleeding and when combined with a no touch technique of implant handling and early postoperative stretching exercises, capsular contracture has been greatly reduced.
