Choosing a board certified plastic surgeon recognized the American Society of Plastic Surgeons assures you that your surgeon has completed an approved residency in plastic and cosmetic surgery and has passed both oral and written examinations to certified his competence in this specialized field of surgery. Ask your surgeon these simple questions. Is his board certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery? How of the procedures that you are requesting has he performed? And finally and most important does he have privileges to perform this procedure in an accredited hospital as opposed to an office or surgery center.
