As with Botox it acts by producing local muscle paralysis by blocking the nerves causing muscle contraction producing facial wrinkles. Administration of DYSPORT is similar to Botox although the dosage used is slightly different. At this point in time, Dr. Linderman feels DYSPORT may have some advantages to his patients and he is now using DYSPORT as his preferred treatment of facial wrinkles of the forehead, frown lines, and crows feet.
