Cosmetic Surgery Costs

Cosmetic Surgery is elective surgery and is not covered by insurance. Payment for these procedures is payable in advance unless financing options have been previously arranged. Sources of financing include Care Credit, M-Lend and Surgeryloan.com. Major credit cards are accepted. At the time of scheduling a non refundable deposit is paid by the patient. The costs for cosmetic surgery can be broken down into three or four separate charges. These include the surgeon's fee for performing the operation, facility charge for use of the operating room and recovery at the hospital or surgery center, anesthesiologist's fee and extra charges such as implants for breast augmentation. Breast implant fees will vary with saline or silicone gel implants which are more expensive. Surgery may be done under local anesthesia with sedation given by the surgeon who may eliminate the anesthesia fee. Facility and anesthesiologist's fee will vary with the length of the procedure. There is a basic fee for the first hour of surgery and then a reduced hourly rate for all time after. It is more effective to combine procedures when possible as this will reduce fees as opposed to two or three separated operations.
