Short Scar Facelift
In a continuing trend to offer innovative, less invasive techniques, Dr. Linderman performs a short scar facelift or SSF. This new procedure eliminates the traditional incision behind the ear. With less surgical dissection, recovery is quicker, bruising is decreased, and risk minimized. Candidates for SSF are in their 40s and 50s with early to moderate signs of aging. SSF may be combined with other minimally invasive techniques such as endoscopic brow lift.
Facelift Details
Dr. Linderman's facelift rejuvenates the face by lifting cheeks to highlight the cheekbones, repositioning the facial and neck muscles, reestablishing a tight and smooth jaw line, and removing excess facial and neck skin. His procedure results in a new look that is younger, more natural, and longer lasting.
The actual facelift procedure may take several hours and is performed at our out-patient surgery center. Surgery may be done under local or general anesthesia, and most patients can return home the same day, provided someone is available to drive you home and stay for a day or two if needed. A non-strenuous work schedule can be resumed ten days to two weeks after the surgery however special make-up will probably still be needed to camouflage bruising.
