1.What is a brow lift?

A brow lift is a cosmetic surgery procedure that corrects aging of the upper part of the face above the eyebrow just as a facelift corrects signs of aging of the lower face and neck. Signs of aging include frown lines, forehead wrinkles and drooping of the eyebrows and skin around the eyes.

2. Who is a candidate for brow lift surgery?

People with forehead wrinkles and descent of the eyebrows causing a tired or unhappy appearance are excellent candidates for this procedure.

3. How is a brow lift different from eyelid surgery?

Eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat from the eyelids while browlift corrects hooding of the lateral brow and or sagging of the medial eyebrow.

4. Can brow lift surgery be combined with other procedures?

Frequently endoscopic brow lift is combined with eyelid or facelift surgery to correct all areas of facial aging.

5. What is an endoscopic brow lift?

An endoscopic brow lift is an innovative less invasive technique preferred by Dr. Linderman that minimizes scarring with a quicker recovery. The surgery is performed through several small incisions behind the hairline using a fiber optic camera. The brow can be lifted and underlying muscles modified to improve or remove forehead wrinkles.

6. How do I know if I need eyelid or brow lift surgery?

During your evaluation by Dr. Linderman, an assessment will determine where the primary problem is located. If by manually elevating the brow, excess skin remains in the eyelid then both procedures may be indicated.

7. What is the recovery?

Recovery is similar but not as long as facelift surgery with bruising lasting up to 10 days post op.
