Rhinoplasty
One of the most common plastic surgery procedures, rhinoplasty can be used to decrease or increase the size of the nose, refine or curve the bridge, and reshape the tip of the nose or nostrils. It may also be used to correct certain injuries, birth defects and breathing problems.
Rhinoplasty procedures usually take between one and two hours, and are performed under local or general anesthesia. What type of anesthesia is appropriate is determined by extent of the procedure. Dr. Linderman will help you determine which is best for you. Each patient's recovery time will vary, but you should plan on at least one day of bed rest, and expect several days of bruising and swelling. Most patients are up after two days, and you will be able to follow a light work or school schedule about one week after surgery.
